<p>Microsoft has purchased Minecraft developer Mojang for $2.5 billion.</p><p>Good for them. But the question we had on our lips was what this meant for iOS and Android game Minecraft - Pocket Edition, and the upcoming PlayStation Vita version.</p><p>Luckily, it seems there won't be any noticeable changes.</p><p>According to Eurogamer, Microsoft's Phil Spencer said that the company will "continue to make Minecraft available across platforms - including iOS, Android and PlayStation, in addition to Xbox and PC."</p><p>Mojang mirrored Spencer's statement in its own blog post on the matter.</p><p>"There's no reason for the development, sales, and support of the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Vita, iOS, and Android versions of Minecraft to stop."</p><p>There's no need to worry about the future of Minecraft - Pocket Edition or the Vita version after all, then.
