"Fol-de-rol," said Doctor Dave, but he spoke with less conviction than usual.<p>Square Enix has opened up a teaser site for a new "psychic mystery RPG" called Alice Order that's heading to iOS and Android in Japan.</p><p>According to Siliconera, it's set in a near future Japan that has been devastated by a great disaster. Adding to the destruction are attacks from a parallel world.</p><p>To help ward off these attacks a special forces group called "Alice" comprised of young women with special powers has been set-up.</p><p>It's being produced by Hioraki Iwano, who was also the producer on the card-battling RPG Million Arthur (you can download it on Google Play).</p><p>Plus, the artwork and some of the character designs will be handled by Steins;Gate artist "huke".</p><p>There are no more details on Alice Order as of yet including whether or not it will head west. We'll let you know once we hear more about it.</p>

You can get this classic NES role player on Google Play for a measily £1.99 / $2.99. Which is pretty incredible for Square Enix.<p>Chronology be damned, Square Enix has just released Dragon Quest I on the App Store in New Zealand. That means it should be out in the UK at midnight tonight.</p><p>The game is a polished up version of one of the original 8bit RPGs. It features dragons, it features castles, and it's more than 20 years old.</p><p>As with Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest VIII before it, the game has been optimised for smartphones. Which means you play it in portrait.</p><p>Happily this entry to the series is a little cheaper than the others. When Dragon Quest I hits the UK App Store later tonight it'll set you back £1.99 / $2.99.</p>

It’s a top-down, competitive shooter played locally on two devices.</p><p>Players stand face to face with their phones in hand and together, both screens make up the playing field.</p><p>The mobile devices don’t need to be put down on a table or somehow kept straight to work.</p><p>As you can see in the trailer below, players are free to swerve and tilt their phones, shooting and dodging bullets that travel from one screen to the next.</p><p>You can even play DUAL cross-platform on iOS and Android, on both phones and tablets. The game's screen will adjust to the size of the smallest device in play.</p><p>DUAL is coming to the App Store and Google Play on April 2nd for free, or £1.49 / $1.99 to unlock.</p><p>The free version of DUAL grants you access to one of the game's three ships and the competitive Duel mode.</p><p>Buying the game unlocks the co-op Defend mode and the other two ships. Only one player needs to have the paid version of the game to play the co-op mode with another player.</p><p>Whether you play the free version of the paid version, DUAL contains no ads.</p>
